Candle2 CNC software improvements.

I hope I'm writing this in the right place. If not, my apologies. I've been looking at the Candle 2 CNC control (GBRL) software, and have several ideas for improvement. One of which is almost ready to use. The first idea is to use a Python program (add on to Candle) that will take caned cycles and tool offsets and translate them to the G code that GBRL understands. I'm at the early testing stage of this on my own CNC machine. The second idea is to port the entire Candle software to compile in Qt6.x, The third idea is to add a simulator to Candle so you can test run the program prior to trying it on a live machine. I am working alone in my spare time to make this happen and welcome any and all helpful ideas and hints.
