Counting Sarees

The uploaded code uses horizontal Sobel edge detector. Based on a fixed threshold value the image is binarized. A particular value of x (i.e) a column is taken and the values are noted down. Any change from 0 to 255 or viceversa of the value results in a new shirt/saree.

If this can be improved upon, that would be helpful. Try mixing contours with this. So a white space should be covered with a green edge of the contour.
