this little escape sequence allows one to tell the terminal that its red (e.g. in \x1b[31m) is actually #00FF00 and it simply must be crazy to think otherwise

does this even work in my terminal

yes I tried it. also I'm literally the author of not one not two but three escape sequence libraries lmao anyway here is some documentation about this weird escape sequence https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/console/console-virtual-terminal-sequences#screen-colors
