I would like to suggest the package geocmeans for this task view.

It provides functions to apply Spatial Fuzzy c-means Algorithm for vector and raster data, visualize and interpret results. This method is well suited when the user wants to analyze data with a fuzzy clustering algorithm and to account for the spatial dimension of the dataset. In addition, indexes for measuring the spatial consistency and classification quality are proposed.

The package has been presented in the journal of open source software : https://joss.theoj.org/papers/10.21105/joss.05259.pdf
