Shift in points

While segmenting I have noticed one thing that there is little shift in the coordinates of the points I have observed around 0.07 to 0.5 m shift after segmentation. So, what could be the reason ? Is that losing some points after segmentation ? I have applied your changes regarding that inconsistent original coordinate propagation and other correction

Do you observe the shift only when you visualize in CloudCompare or also when you load and compare the point clouds using the load_data function from the utils?

Actually, I have observed the shift in Cloud Compare only and I have added some points in my preprocessing which I later tried to remove after segmentation, at that time have noticed that shift in the original coordinates. But I haven't tried to compare using the load_data function.

By default CloudCompare does not visualize the original coordinates. It automatically applies an offset to avoid displaying huge coordinates, which can lead to problems. This offset is saved in our segmentation pipeline. You can manually set this offset to zero when loading the cloud in CloudCompare. Perhaps the observed shift comes from that.

But it might also be some other problem. Perhaps you can check if the coords are also different when directly using load_data on the results.
