[Bug]: Tests not passing properly when data exists in Supabase

Task

Tests aren't passing properly somehow when there is data in the Supabase! They only pass if Supabase is cleared out which is odd. Fix it!

Acceptance Criteria

• Tests pass regardless of the Supabase state (make sure you test with data and without data in the database)
