The number of replicas is hardcoded as 1:

  replicas: 1

What would you like to be added:
Set this to be {{ .Values.replicas }} or similar

Why is this needed:
So allow for multiple replicas to run.

There is no leader election implemented so you shouldn't run external-dns with more than one replica.

Increasing the number of replicas is strongly not advised, as it is very likely to DDOS your DNS provider with excessive requests.
