I'm exploring a solution for a distributed numeric increment service that must handle high request volumes while meeting the following strict requirements:

• No number is ever repeated
• No number is ever skipped
• The sequence must be globally consistent
• The current number must be persisted and recoverable in the event of a catastrophic failure

I'm considering using the INCR command due to its atomicity, but I understand that this operation is only atomic within a single node. In Redis, for example, there's no guarantee of global ordering when multiple nodes are involved.

Does Garnet offer any built-in features or recommended strategies that would allow me to achieve maximum performance, while also enabling cluster scalability and persistence for fault tolerance?
