What locks the content area width?

Hi, I'd like to extend the width of articles. Currently seems like there are two columns in the content area with the right one being blank. I have ToC disabled. Is there some other setting? If its hard coded, what would I need to override? Thanks for the help!

Ok, my problem is created by .prose or by a combo of .prose and flexbox. Fixed it by adding:

1. article-content {max-width: 75ch;} and header#single_header {max-width: 80ch;} to /assets/css/custom.css
2. mx-auto class to the div on line 78 of single.html, of course copied over from the theme files to /layouts/_default/single.html

This was so few characters and such a deep dive to discern them. Not sure if/how this should be reflected in the theme itself.

I think I am running into the same problem. I would like to increase the width of the article text. I have also have set showTableOfContents: false

My goal is to increase the width to the full page when there is no TOC. Can you help?

Hi @joaourbano, you can include layout: "simple" in your articles front matter and it will make your content full-width. It's described here in the docs.

Try adding this CSS to assets/css/custom.css:

.article-content {
  max-width: 100% !important;
}

This should fix the problem!
