interesting crash when trying to bind ^ as shortcut

📝 Description

Hi there, I just installed Dropshelf, loving it.

I noticed an interesting crash when I try to set ^ as part of the short cut; I am using a german ISO-DE keyboard, where this key shares it's function with °, it's left of 1 and above tab.

When you try to set it, the computer begins to stutter big time. The mouse can't be properly used. A few seconds after the program crashes, vanishes, and everything is back to normal

Steps to reproduce

1. go into Dropshelf settings
2. assign a new shortcut
3. do a combination with ^, e.h. Shift+Win+^
4. watch stuttering and crashing unfold
