I altered/tweaked specifications that were asked for, completed the rock configuration for upload, and deferred any modifications I had to make into a separate 'Makefile.luarocks' to be used by luarocks. The rockspec file was tested and it built and installed well on my Mac (with both the new makefile and as a rock). feel free to let me know if any other tweaks are needed.
